My grandma’s name was Violet Rudd. She was born in 1919 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was smart, sassy and stylish. I thought she represented my photography business well, hence the name Dear Violet Photography. She will be 100 years old this year and lives in a nursing home in her hometown of Jacksonville.
I’m originally from Tallahassee, Florida but have lived in Dothan, Alabama for quite some time. It was through creatively photographing my vintage clothing on models that I became interested in photography. Although I’m not selling vintage clothing right now, designing, styling and vintage will always be a passion.
I believe in creating experiences over things. I’m interested in getting to know you and your family, become your friends and in making timeless art, that can be passed down from one generation to the next. Let’s create a beautiful experience together!
If you live in Dothan, Alabama or the Wiregrass area, I would love to have the honor of capturing memories for you. However, I am open and interested in traveling beyond the Wiregrass area. If you would like to commission a portrait session, time won’t wait and neither should you!
